Joseph Mahanay was shot on the streets of Venus, Tx by his wife Anna. Many sad stories came out during her trial that in turn must have convinced the jury of 12 men to find her not guilty. Later she moved with her children first to the Hill county in Texas, then on to California. Family members still reside in California by she eventually settled died in Colorado where she is buried.
